Unhappy Epic 4G Paperweight

Flashed Midnight 2.5. Files on SD changed to EXT4. Tried to use ODIN to go back to DK28 - upshot is that now the phone will not respond to any key presses. No response at all. Cannot get in to download mode. Truly bricked, I believe.
Two questions:
1. Is there anything that can be done to revive the phone.
2. I have TEP w/ Sprint. Should I bring in the phone, remove the SD and plead innocence?

Any suggestions welcome.

Re: Epic 4G Paperweight

I did the same with Vipers ROM- Are you holding power and "1" at the same time as you boot up? Odin worked for me, but Im back to getting clockwork and root up and running again.

1 + power no longer working. Battery was over 50% when last flash performed. I've kept the phone plugged in but no charging light.

Re: Epic 4G Paperweight

Does it turn on at all?

Have you tried removing the battery then putting it back in?

An yes sprint should generally replace it with o issue.

Been there!

Pull the battery, hold 1+power and reinsert battery while holding those 2keys down.

Report back.

Re: Epic 4G Paperweight

I just walked into my local Sprint Store and exchanged my phone because the menu button wasn't working and they didn't even look at it. The guy went in the back and brought me a new phone no questions asked. Just tell them that you received an OTA update and when it shut off to reboot it never came back on. They will give you a brand new phone right on the spot if they have one in stock. If not they will have to order one but that usually only takes 2-3 days.

Was your cable plugged in? It must be UNPLUGGED to get into download mode. Try a few more times holding 1+Power while putting the battery in, If no luck then you may have to get a replacement
