Anyone using Mobile AP/Sprint Hotspot?

I have a question for you, when you go to the network status for the wireless network what do you see?

Example..with Android-Wifi-Tether you see:

11mbps and using N....

what do you see with MobileAP/Sprint Hotspot? aka how much mbps and is it a/b/g/n?

You can't do infrastructure with android wifi tether... And fyi I don't have a mobile hotspot plan that's why I don't use it unless it's hacked.

Anyway if ya must know I tell ya using android wifi tether is painfully slow... Not that I have anything against that in light of no free mobile ap available for this rom but if I were to use that too that too it would be painfully slow as well.

I am not asking about Android-Wifi-Tether...I have all the results I need from it..I'm asking about MobileAP and the type and speed of the wifi connection that status displays.

Hmmm only one sure way to find out...is to call sprint and add hotspot tether to your plan so that you can use it

If a person has a hacked MobileAP running that would provide enough results as well...

I'm thinking about switching back to DJ29 froyo 4.2 since 3G sucks miserably in this DK17... everything else seem perfect except for camera cartoon mode freezes up when I use it. Anyway... I'm jus might go and do it now right after the nandroid backup. Dj29 has free hotspot that u can use... I will let u know when I get it back up and running

Re: Anyone using Mobile AP/Sprint Hotspot?

I just installed MobileAP and set it up and LOVE it so far. The speeds are by far better than what I got on Android Wifi Tether alone.

I'm showing 54.0 mbps and I'm on a G wireless adapter. Is that what you meant?

I'm getting 1500 kb ps down about 500 kb ps up average on 3g with Dj29 and Dk17 modem gps is blazing instant on picking up my location. I just discovered that dk17 rom has the most lag than this one. Woo hoo at least I got my mobile ap back...for free.
