Why is the epic 4gs battery so wildly inconsistent?

Generally streaming media will take up a lot of juice. I hope you all know that. More everyone's entitled to their own opinion whether you like it or not as long as you're not talking about hitler or whatnot. So why is using a hip holster a bad thing?

So today on DK28, 7am to 12pm it went from 100% to 74%... that would mean "19 hrs" or use or 5% use each hour. I would love if it were consistently like that.

My phone seems to function on the same schedule I do. My battery takes a sh*t at 2:30PM every day...

I'm wondering if the battery gauge on the phone is accurate. On the phone it appears to indicate 50% battery life left. In my car, via bluetooth, it's showing the phone as having about only an 18-20% charge. Anybody have any apps to double check or validate the battery?

One other thought...I got this phone last Saturday and immediately popped in the battery and used it throughout the day. I didn't run it dead, but at the same time I didn't charge it immediately. As I posted in the other battery thread, I'm on the leaked DK28.

ok, it's not 7pm and it's at 51%! that is amazing.

hip holster are like fanny packs, mullets, or cut off jeans.
When I see them, I LOL at the person.

BTW: at midnight or midnight 30 after taking it off the charger at 7am, I was getting the low battery warning. I did charge it for 40 minutes while driving in my car so that gave it a 7% boost.

7:33am to 1:13pm 86%, but then again, it's been in my pocket the whole time.
