My epic keyboard lasted 2 1/2 months

I keep my epic in a pocket with nothing else. At a concert, I closed it in my pocket and then watched a band. after, I went to get it out of my pocket and when I closed it, it didn't close all the way. The period key ripped, flipped up, and blocks the keyboard from sliding all the way in.

So tomorrow, I'm going to get my keyboard replaced or get a new phone. What do people suggest? do I unroot my phone? how do I back things up? all my contacts are in fb, google, exchange, but the linking of accounts, where is that stored? I want to go first thing in the am since the store is over an hour drive.

lasted longer than my tp2 but to answer question i would unroot cause im sure your getting a new epic as for back up are you saying you dont back up now? i use "my back up pro" and all my stuff is saved to sd card so use that or titanium or pc plus i keep a back up in clockwork for emergency. please remember to keep your s card though. lol

Re: My epic keyboard lasted 2 1/2 months

Use clockworkmod to backup.

use odin to return to stock.

When you get your replacement device, root, get clockwork, then restore from backup and you're good.

no worries

Re: My epic keyboard lasted 2 1/2 months

OK, so I'm having much better luck with the default android osk than with swype... weird. This keyboard works really well... sooo I'm waiting til tomorrow since I'm off work all week from my day job burning off vacation time. I will try clockwork/Odin whatever tonight after I shoot blind guardian.

As for titanium back up, I installed it... but see no way to get it to back up anything. Does anyone have a tutorial?

In 2 years, I went through 7 or 8 moguls, 3 tps (in 3 months) and hen they gave me a tp2. In 1 year, I only went through two tp2s.
