Update question on Epic

I tried searching for the answer and my question is this. Should I root my phone before 2.2 and then apply the update or just wait for 2.2 and root from there?

So far rooting has never interfered with an update...so far...

Re: Update question on Epic

I look at it this way....deciding whether or not to root your phone is a lot like deciding whether or not you should buy a gun. Its better to have it and not need it then need it and not have it. Besides, whatever Samsung releases will pale in comparison to what the devs are going to do with it, so if you want to maximize the performance of your Epic you'll have to be rooted anyways. And, of course if it ever becomes a problem, you can always use Odin to flash it back to stock. I've done it several times already, its pretty easy.

funny, after watching the walking dead last night, not having a gun seems to really be something I'm going to need as we get closer and closer to some sort of apocalypse.
