Over clocking kernel problems.

Any roms using over clock kernel never seems to work with my epic..

I have tried everything...

phoenix and andromeda kernels seems to be only one that's working on my phone.

If any of you fellow epic users are using these oc kernels without any hiccups, how are you using it? (install or set it per say..)

I have tried:

Fresh install using odin
Wiping data three times, clearing cache, dalvik cache
every rom out there in the web for the epic...

I'm stomped...

yea, I also calibrated the battery and tried using setcpu but it would freeze every time randomly and I would have to pull the battery..

What have you done that's different from my setup?

ok i was having issues with titanium and heres what i did that i think you should do, wipe 3 times data/delvic and reload all your shit you wanna use then use "my backup pro" to backup and not titanium. i also hate and dont use taskillers and juice defender if your using them. i have no issues at all now and i also use "auto start killer" to kill drm bs for battery life.

I don't use titanium, I do 3 wipes, clear caches (dalvik as well) I only have like 4 widgets and apps and don't use any task killers or juice defender... I don't know what 's the deal with my epic..

wow, no idea now. you got a bug somewhere though, i would still start over and use clockwork and try "syndicate" rom. im using standard and its running flawless and its oc'd.

one more question you are on latest update? di118

yes, I am on Di18 and I have tried the syndicate rom. However, it will lock up on me every couple of mins... I really don't know what to do now...

no, i have really never got a force close on apps however, when I try different kernels and I have narrowed it down to the OC kernels (genius dog's kernel, xtreme kernel, baked snack kernel to name a few), when I use these kernels I start to have issues... I'm thinking that it may be set cpu's problem though... if you don't mind me asking, which version of set cpu are you using?
