24 degrees off bug

Yes. Gsensor is off by 24 degrees. Korea factory floor fail. Now we just need a calibratioool. I cant find one, I searched and searched. I confirmed its a bug cuz over at xda there is some chatter about it and I checked 4 epics and they are all off by 24. So does anyone have a calibration tool?

Are you talking about the accelerometer or the digital compass?

Re: 24 degrees off bug

Sorry. Accelerometer I meant. And we do have a digital compass.Freaking nice phone huh? What a change from htc crapola. And our gpu works too. Lol. Poor saps over at tbe Evo threads. They got stuck yet with another under performing device. I came across a 3d game over at the market and some comments were like "does this run on all android phones?" And most replies were like... "yeah, just not the Evo." Lololol

Re: 24 degrees off bug

I'm not doubting this but could you provide a step by step to show that it is 24deg off?

Ok. Heres the steps. Even a llama can do it so dont worry.

Step 1:
Dial on your phonepad *#0*#

Step 2:
Tap on the SENSOR tab.

Step 3:
Look at the very top where it says ACCELEROMETER and look at the "x" number. If you hold the phone perfectly vertically, you will see that it will display ( X: -24). That should be ZERO. (0)

I confirmed it with 5 Epics already. Also you'll notice it with games that use the gsensor.

I tested it and mine seems fine..what I do notice is it calculates in increments of 24 degrees...my guess is when you are testing its slanted enough for it to round to -24 rather then 0.
