DI18 update pulled from phone - xda-developers
changes are
Fixes:
WiFi standby battery drain
Amazon MP3 cannot download in 4G
Large emails lag in upload speeds
Increased 3G upload speeds

I see it is kinda funny out of all the forums....xda/ppc/android...etc...no one yet has been updated. Its like they are baiting us not to return the Epic for the people that are very close to the 30 days.

Whosdaman is going to give us the tar of DI18 I believe sometime today.

i can get the tar file too from my sprint guy. there(sprint) site says its gonna be pushed soon? tonight i hope.

the only thing that worries me is that, the tar is a full blown upgrade is what I am thinking, and I am pretty sure it will mess up my root/maybe clockwork/overclock and heavens know what else...I was just wanted a update like DI07 which did not break root. I like everyone here who rooted...etc dont know what the cause and effect will be.

If its a full update may also mean it may fix some of the other issues that are not mentioned as well...Though if I remember correctly the root method was fairly universal for all androids..so maybe it could be rerooted with no ir minor changes.

Well, Samsung just announced that this update is on hold.....

Oh well, its been a nice month with u, Epic 4G. You are getting returned tomorrow.

well well well, I bet there will be alot of Epics being returned tomorrow...lol...i knew something was up....the whole day was gone and no one from all the online forums had a update yet.

why is evyone returning epics? whats the most flawed issue everyone is having? im on sero waiting to activate it tomorrow but now u r all scaring me. plus just found out amazon and bestbuy selling it for 199.99 out the door.

I will be keeping my Epic I get upgrades every year, it is running great/no gps issues, battery is holding ok I really like it. Takes great HD videos for a phone, pictures are very good, games play with the high fps make is smooth. I can deal with the 3g upload issue till it is fixed.

Most people are just frustrated with Samsung/Sprint with the lack up speedy updates before the 30days those that have gps/battery/bad 3g upload/running services issues..etc.
