Based on sprints past you are right but with the new sprint transform coming out which is a keyboardless epic launching in early november which competes directly with the evo im sure an evo pro will be launching or at least im wishing and sprint always launch a new htc device every 4th quarter of every year in existence. Im hoping for a htc evo pro.

P.s I thought my bluetooth was broken when i had the epic but after reading your post and hooking my bluetooth up to another device i found out it was the dumb a$$ epic why must samsung make trash I dont get it. Htc aint perfect but the epic has an epic amount of issues.

From what is gathered so far the Transform is a medium range device to replace the Hero...

But its not only Samsung..HTC also had bluetooth issues..mostly with winmo and people complaining about the drivers used...

What exactly are you trying to bluetooth exactly? so far I bluetoothed my pc, my TP2 and another Epic with no issues..can you be a bit specific?

Actually the transform is exactly a galaxy s class device minus the keyboard so its a keyboardless epic, secondly you are correct the bluetooth stock stack on the htc was trash but i replaced it, it cleaned it up alittle on the tp2 but to get a bad stack on the epic, i really dont want to deal with it. Now I might have been quick to get annoyed with the epic because as i am learning rooting can save alot and make the device even stronger but even still I cant do it, yet! I am either to get an evo or an epic but im going to wait untill nov 1, if there is no device mentioned or rumored by htc as nov 1 I will make the jump as unwillingly as can be i will make the jump. HTC hurry the F##K up and make an EVO PRO

1, I have a tp2 with a great rom( tw ) so i can run internet wifi router free is this feature stable and able to be done with the epic. I dont want my data billed for wifi, im sure i have to root the epic just like unlocking the tp2 but is it free and is wifi routing available.

2. hows the feel of the keyboard and slider i love the tp2 tilt screen and i know the epic does not tilt but hows the slider and hand position for texting and other things.

3. hows the battery life compared to the tp2

4. what are the cons to the epic what just pisses you off.

5. how is samsung quality compared to htc. (now i know htc aint the best but i like the ability to hack and mod most htc devices)

6. i am a wm user since forever and a heavy user of office mobile are there good android versions of ms clones of ms office.

7. durablity i have dropped my tp2 a couple times it semi durable how the epic.

8. modding how is it going are there chefs working on the bloat and fine tunning the epic.

9 how is the media player i know some of my questions are software based but im a wm buff thinking about making the jump since sprint aint getting a wm7 device untill late feb early march ( one of my friends work as a tech in device development for sprint and they told me early march release) so how is the android media player.

10 how is the gps i use it alot.

Thanks to anyone that can help me answer any of my questions. coming from a tp2 that i love but need need more power. the epic is my only option. please respond. Thanks again in advance.

I want to hear from as many people as possible please
I just gave up on the TP2 on Wednesday. Being a full on flashaholic with Energy Roms...my back cover wouldn't stay on any more. I'm a pretty heavy user and like a bright screen. Even with all the battery tweaks, I still had two spares and always had to switch during the day. They sent me a refurb and noone could understand what i was saying or sometimes even hear me.

I was given an early upgrade and had to have a hard keyboard....In comes the Epic! WOW! It might not be perfect and I'm sure there will always be people out there that wouldn't like any phone but I have to say that the EPic is one hot handset.

The speed if unbelievable. No lagno checking to see how low memory is. Even I could figure out how to use it. It is beautiful, lighter than the TP2. I love both keyboards but make less mistakes already on the Epic. While a custom rom was the only reason I kept my TP2, This is wonderful without. I just started following here today and can't wait to find out how to root and add a custom rom. That must be something. Froyo is to be soon.

I am also scared of Samsung. My wife and I were both victums of the Instinct and the lack of support. I am hoping they are serious this time.

I let everyoone one else answer all of the questions. Just buy it and enjoy. If I didn't want the hard keyboard I could see the EVO but the epic is even faster than the EVO and it hasn't even been upgraded yet.
