Re: Epic 4Gs experiencing slow upload speeds, Sprint says a fix is coming

kilobits are 1/8th of a kilobyte...

Also if you are getting 1000kbits a sec..you sure you are not on 4g? I think thats beyond 3g spec...maybe with bursts it might fit but I find it not likely :/

Re: Epic 4Gs experiencing slow upload speeds, Sprint says a fix is coming

So what is affected by the upload speeds? By having the fix, what improves on the phone? In general is data being uploaded and downloaded everytime data comes through, and is there one over the other that gets used more? For instance all the data the phone uses, is it more download data or upload data?

Would this fix also make the web a tad faster? I use Dolphin, but sometimes it seems a little slow or just not responsive sometimes.

Thanks guys.

I am pretty sure someone most likely like you said XDA will tweak the update so that rooted phones will be able to update and hopefully not break root. I am pretty sure that is what happened with the DI07 Update it did not break root. I was also rooted and did the update manually and everything still worked tethering..etc.
