Re: Sharing my Juice Defender settings

Can someone provide their settings for 2.2.2beta Juice Defender? Also, I just downloaded Setcpu and wasn't sure if someone knew of the best settings for Setcpu to work with Juice Defender.

Thanks
Dacoz

Currently, it shows x2.29 increase in battery life/performance. The longest time I've gone on a full single charge was a day and a half. After being unplugged for approx. 36 hours I still had a slight bit of blue left in the indicator and decided to charge it again.

My settings are as follows:
  • Timeout - Do nothing
  • Schedule - Enable Data/Wifi for 5min every 2hrs.
  • Night - Keep data/wifi disabled from 11pm till 4:30 am
  • Battery - keep data/wifi disabled while below 10%
  • Traffic - Leave data/wifi enabled while > 50KB/15s (might change this though because streaming audio cuts off after screen times out.)
  • peak - do nothing
  • apps - do nothing
  • Screen - leave data/wifi enabled while screen on
  • Location - keep wifi disabled while distance > 1336m
i get it shows x3.10 if I remember correctly.
My settings are as follows:
  • Timeout - Do nothing
  • Schedule - Enable Data/Wifi for 5min every 2hrs.
  • Night -Do nothing (you don't need this unless you dont sleep at night..charge it up!)
  • Battery - keep data/wifi disabled while below 5% (you wouldn't believe the last minute you need your internet working while you're doing last min grocery shopping late at night -either this or disable juicedefender altogether)
  • Traffic - Leave data/wifi enabled while > 1MB/1000s (This is sufficient enough anything below that is too slow I'm not coming back here to change it often..just set it and leave it.)
  • peak - do nothing
  • apps - Varies this list is so long I had spent at least 30minutes decide which app will keep data on for instance...nfl or Fring if its running in back ground data will remain ON.
  • Screen - leave data/wifi enabled while screen unlocked (sometimes I press the power button to check time or date or weather on my widget locker app I don't need to consume the power just to turn on 3G every time I do that)
  • Location -do nothing (this thing is BUGGY DO NOT USE IT)

This worked for me while I was on the Eclair 2.1
But not so well for me while I'm on Froyo 2.2
But per Gten suggestion try Super Power and see if it works for you... I've been using it for 2 days and the results are near as good as juice defender on 2.1

I use 100-10000 performance to play games...
I use 100-10000 conservative for everything else.

If you have the paid app version... hit the wifi button in JuiceDefender settings. That should leave wifi alone and only let it toggle 3G data automatically.

If I helped.. thank me.

Re: Sharing my Juice Defender settings

Hopefully someone can help. I am trying to figure out the peek and NIGHT time settings.. it has a ">" less than symbol between the times..

for the peek setting I have 6AM>5:30PM ... I would assume that means keep data on from 6AM to 5:30PM but it doesnt seem to work that way.. its past 8PM here and data is ON all the time .. so to me that mean from 5:30-6AM keep data on..

HOW do I set this to keep data on from 6AM to 7PM?

also for the night setting I have 2AM>5AM but I bet that wont work either..

Please help!

I can't remember as I don't use it anymore for froyo... but try this:

what time is it now? say 9:30pm
Okay then set it to 9:32p-9:48p
if data toggles OFF after 9:32 then you know what that means.
if data stays ON then that means it has to toggle OFF after 9:48p

so if you want to toggle data off after 9:32p
I would set it like this 9:48p-9:32p

Using juice defender was like an experiment but its useless for me now that we have new roms that perform better right out the box.

Let me know if this helped.
