Rooted Epic...Wifi Tether working...how to use USB tether as well?

I have the Epic rooted and wifi working well. On certain occasions, I want to be able to use USB to tether so that the phone charges through the laptop and speeds are better.

I search here and XDA and nothing Epic-specific popped up.

Thanks.

PDAnet or Easy Tether are your friends via the app market.

Re: Rooted Epic...Wifi Tether working...how to use USB tether as well?

One issue I noticed with Easy Tether is that is does not support https:// sites only http://

I need to be able to access our CRM through USB tether and it is an encrypted site.

Any idea if PDAnet allows secure sites? - Also, is PDAnet free and working on a rooted phone?

Thanks for your response.

Nevermind:

Note: Once trial expires, you can continue using PdaNet for free. The only difference is that free edition blocks secure web sites.

Yes, same for Easy Tether..they have a free version that does not support HTTPS and a paid version that does.
