If you want to install and run apps that require root access you need Superuser. Basically it gives the app permission to work. The first time you launch an app that requires root access Superuser will pop up and ask you if you want to grant this app root permissions (there is a box you can check so that window doesn't keep popping up).

I'll try it on the home machines tonight before I give up and wait for a more stable root....but in the mean time I'm gonna keep banging my head on my desk!

late,

late,
Coz
I had that when I did Administrator mode on W7 :/ on none administrator mode I had device not found..here is though what I did and it..maybe it will work for you as well...

1) unplugged phone and reset phone..

2) uninstalled the drivers..then reinstalled them.

3) Make sure you device is in USB Debug enabled and plugged in the device..

4) this is the hard part that got me...gotta wait for the device to fully install the drivers on the bottom right...I messed up the first time cause I couldn't wait..(This can take up to 5 minutes or so..there are total of 4 drivers that are installed..you need 3/4 to finish..2/4 is not enough and will cause the issues)

5) ran:

adb.exe get-state

it should give you output of "device" and not "unknown"

6) ran run.bat

7) Profit

I had the same problem. One of the 4 drivers never did install.

Yeah, same..but 4th one isn't necessary for rooting...the 3/4 are the important ones.

unfortunately the original instructions do not include this info and a bunch of people get confused when they flash with only 2/4 :/
