Well he could be playing a prank which he likes to do..but if he really does leave it would be a big loss to the Epic community as a whole :/

Well yes and no...he is the one who did or at least contributed to most of the development on the Epic, he had a Samsung moment before and did dev for it so he was more familiar with Samsung's way of doing things...(he was on SDX)

the drama I guess kinda started with him doing things the SDX way and people used to the XDA way...so it folded with the lack of quick development and Samsung being slow to release Froyo little by little into what it was today...

But anyways lets not get into that.... it seems from what he posted that its not drama related but he has school work to catch up on so he planned to leave anyways.

There are still a bunch of good developers for the Epic though..

So does this mean we can expect some custom kernels soon? I really like Froyo but the battery lasts a lot longer with the undervolted kernels.

For us to get an under-volted kernel working would require for official froyo to be released...then the source code will be released with it..the other option is to write a kernel from scratch which is not simple...
