Ive got my xv6700 for sale. Read my signature for apps and hacks. I am looking for $175 due to the extensive work done to the phone and apps installed.

Ok everyone, I know this is a long post but it is important you read all of it. Here is my Verizon Wireless (VZW) xv6700 AKA Apache that I am putting out here for someone else to enjoy. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this unit, I am just upgrading. All buttons and hardware work. It has never has a 2.5mm jack plugged into it and the Dpad has no issues. It slides open and snaps shut. The screen has no scratches. I keep it in a leather case at all times. I have no issues synching this device at all. The ESN is clean and clear.

Cosmetically, the device is great. There are a set of scratches on one corner and the paint is scratched a small but from around the mini-USB but this is from trying to fit it in its cradle.

Now the fun part. I still have WM5 on it. I know WM6(.1) is out there for it but I choose to stay at WM5 for several reasons. It has been modified in several ways for maximum stability and speed. Let me try to get into all of that.

Many of what I am about to tell is registry edits in the phone that have been done to improve the phone (lets see Apple do that with their iPhone ) No offense to the iPhone users. I’ve got one too but believe me, this xv6700 WILL do MUCH more.

The device can surf via WiFi while the phone is on
GLYPHCACHE cache has been increased
SMS Delivery Notifications have been disabled (annoying)
Has custom ringers/SMS tones/ECT
Increased keyboard LED timeout
Changed Slot Cycle Index to 0 for more frequent polling to the tower
Increased frame rate of the camera
All IE cache and temp files are stored on the card
Removed Wireless, Power and Screen Rotation icons from the system tray
GPS access has been enabled (but still need GPS module like the Holux 240)
Changed the Voice CODEC to 13k
Changed the time clock on the day screen to give AM/PM status
Added a lunar calendar
Enabled page scrolling in Pocket IE
Enabled the dictionary to suggest up to 6 words instead of 4
Enabled the “delete voice mail” option in the phone settings
Enabled all SMS priorities to “urgent”
Disabled menu/window animations
Enable and increased the FileSystem cache
Increase the Font cache
Adjusted the scrollbars and arrows
Enable ClearType in Landscape mode
Disable the security warning when installing a non-certfied application

By default the processor speed is 416Mhz (which is already more than most) and this unit is over-clocked at 520 or 624 depending on my needs at the time. The extended ROM has been unlocked for access to more RAM (about 10mb). The boot loader version is v1.02 and Radio version is v1.43. The PRL version is 51020 and is the most current.

I have this thing loaded with real software. Most of what I have is they software you PAY for although there are some really good developers out there who make and distribute freeware, so I have a bit of that too. All be told, I have about $1000 worth of paid for (professional) applications on this phone. I took the time to list all the apps and provide links to the software as well as the prices. I started to take screenshots of all the apps but that is just far TOO time consuming.

I suggest that it you are not familiar with some of these apps then you use the links to learn a bit about them to see why it is that I use them and see how they can benefit you. A few of these apps are installed on a 1Gb storage card so it comes with the phone.

Also with the PPC comes a brand new standard battery that I just bought. I do have a stylus with it, in fact I think I have two. I have the OEM cradle and charger. My leather case does not go with this unit being I will be using it for my other phone. I do not have the box for it either and the synching software you can get from MS. I assume most of you looking at this will know where to get it but for those few to whom may not, I will list the list below.
