thanks frosty, we appreciate the site. no other site on the planet can compair, or offer anything close to this site besides googling the world. you bring us all together under one confy roof. THANKS as return, i'm sure there are plenty here that are more than happy to help you maintain/upgrade this site.

The current server is about $300/month. Based on some suggestions here, we are going to upgrade MySQL sometime soon. I will be comparing nginx and lighthttpd and we will probably be switching to one of them as opposed to Apache. Then I will also look at using APC or xCache again for PHP, which should really speed up page loads again.

We can upgrade RAM with the current server if needed, but honestly, after the changes I did last night, the server seems to be running very good. The load is still a little on the high side, but not enough to disable searches and turn away users. We're not having the really bad spikes in swap and CPU usage like we were having the last few days.

Sorry for the downtime this morning again. Apparently a script I used to temporarily ban IPs with lots of connections caused major issues and the firewall was blocking everyone.

Should be fixed now and the load is back to normal.

i cleaned out my pm box, i think that should speed things up also. thanx for all your time frost, went to xda for 10min and had enough, man this site is top dog.
