MySQL and all can be a pain to get right as well.

Since we use a host, the upgrades would be a monthly fee from the host. The software upgrades were free, just my time lol.

It was stuff like this why WideAwake made me an admin about 2 years ago, we had growing pains then, and this server has been sufficient since then, now we're starting to outgrow this one too.

You should have seen the staff chatroom we have, people were so bored and didn't know what to do, we were all looking up other crap on the net lol.

Keep in mind... while upgrading to 8GB of RAM or more will provide a huge benefit, upgrading the processor may not do much good if Apache, MySQL, and PHP can't take advantage of them in multi-thread modes.
