VIP Members - HUGE REQUEST - Please Read
 

By popular request, we've finally made some changes to our usergroups.

------------------------------

For people that are regular members, the user titles are now different (no longer "Juior Member", "Member" and "Senior Member").

Now we have: Lurker, Noob, PPCGeeks Regular, Regular Geeker, Halfway to VIP Status, and Almost a VIP.

These are based strictly on post count for users with less than 1,000 posts.

------------------------------

VIP Members:
- You'll be automatically promoted to this group (within an hour) once you get 1000 posts or you get a reputation of 2000 after 30 days of being a member.

You'll get exclusive access to our VIP Lounge Forum (near the bottom of the list of forums), plus...

- Custom User Titles (Change it in your UserCP) (Must be appropriate for all ages since everyone can view them)
- Black usernames
- Optional glowing usernames
- Larger PM Storage (1000 messages instead of 250)
- Larger Profile Picture (250x250 instead of 100x100)
- Larger Avatar (100x100 instead of 80x80)
- Possibly a @ppcgeeks.com email address through Gmail

As with anything new, there might be some kinks along the way, so we'll be tweaking things over the next few months.

This is indeed a very cool feature. I know alot of you thought we'd forgotten about making changes like this...but we didn't. There was a lot of discussion amongst the staff and I believe that these new features represent some of the best ideas presented from our community.

That ppd sounds close to mine... Mine are 2,237 (29.73 posts per day)... And I will be happy to defend each and every one of my posts... If anybody has cause to complain about needless posts, let me know.. And I have only been a member since October 8th... And it has actually gone down... It was over 30.00 posts per day, but I haven't been on a computer since Thursday...

I have to check the VIP Lounge out.. But with the auto subscribe enabled, I have over 39 threads to look at first... I can't wait to see what else Frosty and Co. have up their sleeves...

Its sorta part of it lol. You earn some rep points based on the number of days you've been registered, but its not very much.

We might try tweaking the whole rep thing too and make the green squares work better.

As of right now it counts, but like I said before, we might be tweaking this whole thing a little down the road, so how it works now might not be exactly how it works a few months from now.

I currently like the feature... Do you know who has the highest NON-MOD Rep stat? Mine is at 541...

That's your rep power, your actual rep level is 2580.

I can't see a way to display the rep level and sort it, so I'm not sure who has the highest. Once I tweak that whole system I might be able to tell :)
