Just the other dsay (2 days ago) I did exactly that. Went thru all my instant emails notifications and cleared up like 30!!!! NOw I have like 4. Its definately a good idea.

Re: [12/04/08] Please delete un-needed subscriptions

You need to put the full URL in the link of your notice. If you visit www.ppcgeeks.com, the notice is the only thing you get and it will try to send you to www.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=47781 which doesn't exist, and thus all you keep getting is the notice to read this thread!

never have liked the E-mail notifications, kills the bandwidth defeats the purpose of the subscription post in the user CP

Your's are all deleted.

I changed the option for everyone to "No Subscriptions", it was set to subscribe everyone to every thread they've ever posted it (without email notifications unless you request it).

Never used the e-mail notification option. I prefer to visit the site and check what's new.

We're aware of an issue if you access the site by going to ppcgeeks.com instead of forum.ppcgeeks.com.

I believe its fixed now though, I made a change to that message.

Re: [12/04/08] Please delete un-needed subscriptions

I don't know why people use this feature anyway. If you login and go under User CP and subscriptions, you can view your subscribed threads and take yourself to the last unread post. I hate getting an e-mail every time someone replies to a thread.

I think the option should be disabled, lol.

Please delete all my subscriptions "with the click of a button." I've never reveived any email notifications anyway. That feature has never worked for me.

Look for 'Default Thread Subscription Mode'
its under options in your UserCP

you can set your subscription level to one of the following:

Do Not Subscribe
No Email Notification
Instant Email Notification
Daily Email Notification
Weekly Email Notification

currently everyone is set to "Do Not Subscribe" (thanks to frosty)

Re: [12/04/08] Please delete un-needed subscriptions

Thanks for the heads up. I went through all of mine and got rid of a bunch of old subscriptions regarding the PPC6700, which I no longer have (none of which had email notification). Basically I use email notification for threads regarding topics of critical importance to me until my question is answered or my problem is solved.
