You could register with Disqus, but you don't have to register with the current one, it just uses your PPCG account, so as long as you're signed into the forums you can comment.

Yep, I gotta agree, I prefer the old comment system. Every time some website or service asks me for my email address I just close the window. I know they all say "we promise not to share your personal information blah blah blah..." but the 20-30 spam emails I get every day came from somewhere.....

I know this isn't a complete solution, but if you just need a temporary email that you want to register for a little bit, MailExpire is the stuff. I always use it when registering for an unfamiliar site. You can kill, extend, or revive it at any time.
