How do you modify lock screen?
 

Hey all,
I am running wm6.5 (Ad's Vanilla 2.0) and really like the lock screen. However, every morning I tend to get up and want to see what the temperature is. Currently I have to unlock the phone to see that. Now, while it's not exactly difficult to do that, I got to thinking that it might be nice to have the temperature on the lock screen itself (which currently has just the time and calendar information. Does anybody know how to do this or of a site that could teach me how to do this myself?

SU2U has the weather display on the main lock screen.

I looked at the latest version of S2U2 (assuming that's what you mean) and it doesn't show the temperature on the screen shots...am I looking at the wrong one?

Actually though, I'd prefer not to use s2u2 simply because I want to avoid additional programs on my phone when I've got a perfectly good one already built in. If it's at all possible I'd prefer to modify the current lock screen. I know that's theoretically possible as I saw the program "jmz LockScreen Changer" where he changes various parts of it. Unfortunately, the link is no longer active so I can't see what all it does. I also don't know if adding something like the temperature is out of the realm of possibility. Anybody know?

S2U2 WILL show weather, 6.5 lock will not. S2U2 is by far the most customizable and the support is huge! Also, the WinMo one is junk. MS copied it and did a horrible job at that. Try PocketShield, not sure about the weather on it though.

Yup, S2U2 is what you're looking for.

Hmm...installed S2U2 and it seems like a good program. However, I'm not able to get weather showing. I go into the configuration program and go to the "information" tab. Under there I see "Today's Weather Forecast from" with 7 different options. However, I don't see an option that works for me. I'm using SPB mobile shell 3.5 (I think that's the correct version). In that is a weather program, but it's not SPB Weather (as in option 1). I'm also working with the Titanium Weather tool that came with Ad's 2.0 Vanilla ROM. However, I can't find that option either. Any suggestions?

User weather works for me, any way to get the slider invisible? Or even make it a vertical slide?

FWIW, I've never seeen a vertical slide, but you can make the slider invisible and even change the slider/arrows. Search xda-developers.com.
