Omnia Up Swipe Gesture... Replace default TaskSwitcher (What do you use?)

Can someone please post up a copy of TaskSwitcher from CC03 rom.

I copied over it to use task facade with the swipe gesture but it just slows my phone down more than anything.

I just need the TaskSwitcher.exe file so i can swap everything back out...unfortunately i accidentally copied the link as backup instead of the .exe file... :-/

Thanks in advanced!

Re: Taskswitcher...

Thank you so so so MUCH!!!!

I got anxious and i started looking around the internet for alternatives...

i found this:
http://www.dotfred.net/TaskSwitcher.htm

It works really really well in place of the omnia taskswitcher haha. Gunna play around with it.

Imma change the thread title to Alternative Swipe based task switchers...

Hmmm see what people use.

DISCLAIMER: Please try remember that you are modifying files in the Windows Directory of your mobile phone. Any problems or data loss that may result from following these instructions are in no way my fault and caution needs to be take. I will not provide support if following these instructions results in your phone not working anymore.

Intructions:

Install any application for task switcher
Navigate to its location in the programs folder
Rename its .exe to TaskSwitcher.exe
Copy all the contents in the Program folder to the window DIR using Total Commander overwriting the original TaskSwitcher.exe
You may also need to relink the shortcut to your program in the Startup folder.

Note: Depending on the program you are putting in the windows director make sure that you confirm that folders dont conflict with the ones from your NEW task switcher.

I have been using TaskFacade in this manner for a week or so and it has run really well... with the minor exception that it doesnt launch on first gesture... you have to do it twice after the phone has been locked for a while.

With task switcher it works fine... copy and paste and it works flawlessly.

I don't get why you would copy this to your windows directory. All I do is assign my my "Main Menu" button to the task switcher of my choice... if you need it to startup at boot then simply create a shortcut in startup or in the case of task facade I believe it does this for you.

The reason you put it in the windows directory is because that file is tied into the Swipe up gesture on the screen... that way you dont have to use the main menu button.

Really no one is interested in this? lol

I think that a lot could be done with swapping appz out for the Taskswitcher.exe

The only gesture that our phone knows haha

I think your a little confused phil... I started this thread...

I only mentioned "no one is interested in this" cause i had only one response to my topic in a day. Now there are a ton of responses.

Update:

So i have been using the Showcase task switcher for a a little bit now and I have to say AWESOME!

I dont use it very often but it is useful when want to close out something that is an exception in HTC Taskmanager. That and it actually comes up even faster than the standard omnia taskswitcher. Which is also nice.

....

Anyone else have any other interesting things they have replaced the default Samsung task switcher with?

Actually, I can't stand this behavior, as I always inadvertently activate it in Adryn's vanilla ROM that I run. I haven't had time to get into the registry to turn it off, but I will next week.

With this ROM, the X/OK button in the top right corner, when held, pops up a task list. It also by default kills apps rather than putting them into the background, so I don't really need a separate task manager.
