Omnia pic in WMDC on Windows 7

Just plugged my Omnia into my laptop for the first time after formatting it to Windows 7 Enterprise (not beta) and the WMDC has a pic of an Omnia... No tweaks necessary.

Same exact thing here. But I think it's due to the custom ROM including that icon. Not sure though.

vista 64 does that too........ and im sure with XP as well

its because of the drivers from WMDC

Drivers have nothing to do with it. There must be an image on the device for it to show in WMDC.

xp just has the generic image of a device. but my vista 64 bit has the pic of the omnia. so i would assume that WMDC has it, and activesync doesnt. i had the touch pro prior to the omnia, and the image of the device poped up on that to.

The images are on the phone not in WMDC.

running 7 x64 ultimate and just a generic picture showed up...stock rom.

well my xp has it. and i was even running it xp on a VM. its the drivers.. im almsot sure its when you connect it to the pc as your installing activesync or WMDC, thats what i did both times and the phone pic shows up.

i think it does. when you connect to the pc, it showed up after the i910 drivers were installed.

it wouldnt just show up on the pc, it needs the drivers to know what it is

FWIW: Stock ROM; Vista 64 - no Omnia image.
