how to view pics in fullscreen?

Hi everyone,
what is the ideal setting for camera pictures? I would like to be able to have great pictures, which it does. But when i want to view them in landscape mode they seem not to fill the entire screen. Now yesterday I took some pictures and they were in 400x240 mode (fullscreen) but today I cannot get that to happen again. No setting for that size? short question:
How do I view pictures in fullscreen/landscape mode and still be a big picture when I put it on my computer? I hope i am making scence here.
