Re: Yahoo! Mail Problem?

I don't have an Omnia; I have an Incite. However I have no issues with Yahoo mail through messaging. Can you recieve but not send? I know MS had to patch messaging for WM 6.1. I believe it is KB958639.

I hope this helps.

Re: Yahoo! Mail Problem?

I have an Omnia i910 on Verizon and have no problem with Yahoo mail. I just used the messaging application to setup Yahoo and it did all the work. No problems sending or receiving that along with 4 other email accounts.

You may have something in the settings for Yahoo, or your 3G access that is preventing the account from syncing.

Re: Yahoo! Mail Problem?

I used to have a problem on the Omnia with Yahoo but not for a while now.

To get around my original issue was to add a new email account and misspell yahooo so it couldnt download the settings when creating the account.
Once the false account was set-up i would then go in and amend the details.

Re: Yahoo! Mail Problem?

I've been having issues the past few days. I'm more inclined to think it's either an issue with Verizon or Yahoo, and not my beloved Omnia

Re: Yahoo! Mail Problem?

I got it resolved. I contacted Yahoo tech support, who supposedly reset something in my account. Then I deleted my account on my phone, restarted it, and set up my yahoo account again. Now it works.
