VOIP (SIP) App to be used with Google Voice and Gizmo

I have Google Voice setup with my Gizmo account (VOIP) to allow me to make and receive unlimited PC to land phone calls. I use X-Lite on my laptop to login to Gizmo.

I have SJphone on my i910 and it works but I think it could be a lot better. I also have tried X-Lite CE but have had no success.

Are there any Omnia friendly SIP applications that anyone else is using? Is it possible to modify the Skype app to play with Gizmo?

Thank you,

-rcicu

Im not 100% sure it will work with gizmo, but i use Nimbuzz to make my outgoing and incoming Skype and other messenger calls. Maybe work a look...

After messing with Nimbuzz I was able to get it to login to Gizmo but when I get a phone call and Accept it, it drops the call instantly.

I found "Pocket Talk" and it seems to work very nicely with the Omnia. The only issue I have found is that it uses the loud speaker instead. But I am able to use it with a headset.

Thank you,

Im using fring with my gizmo5 account information to place and recieve calls through google voice over wifi on my omnia. its been working great so far. my only complaint is the sound playing through the back speaker instead of the ear piece. It was unbelievably simple to set up too. All i did was install fring then signed into gizmo from the SIP add-on. Once the software is installed on the phone just configure google voice to forward your calls to the free SIP number from gizmo and your done. Wish i coulda seen the look on the comcast tech's face when i explained why i would no longer need their $45 voip home phone service.

When i figure out the speaker problem i'll post the solution if anyones interested. Im not having any trouble using a bluetooth headset either.

Thank you,

can you please share your pocket talk settings, how you got it go work with gizmo and google voice, all those server settings are confusing.

For Pocket Talk all you need is:
-SIP Number - your username to your Gizmo Acct
-Password - your password to your Gizmo Acct
-Server - proxy01.sipphone.com

Then for Google Voice add your Gizmo info as a new phone.

once this is done you can recieve phone calls via Pocket Talk and place call via Google Talk.

Good Luck,
