Re: An Announcement Nobody Will Like, But Yet....Has Hope!
I knew something was up when you disappeared for several days, but just figured you had gotten burned out.
Glad to hear you finally have a phone that will be connected 100% of the time instead of down two or three times a day due to a flash. Blackberrys are stable, have tons of support, and are rather easy to use. Naturally they have their own respective weaknesses, but then again, so does WinMo. You made a good choice After all your work here, I think you can safely retire from cooking knowing 'Job Completed'. You set out to make a ROM that was customized, clean, fast, and bleeding edge - instead you made like 50 (including updates, additions, and revisions). A lady I work with just bought an Omnia and showed it to me the other day. It was fresh from the Verizon store so... it sucked. It made me realize just how far your ROMs have come. We now have a ROM that's 100x better than anything Verizon could ever produce. So if you do decide to retire, just know that you served your calling well and that I could never flash again and still be completey satisfied with my phone. Besides, we still have BW, bgill, Capcom, etc... if we still need our fix |

Re: An Announcement Nobody Will Like, But Yet....Has Hope!
I was incredibly timid about flashing my phone for the first time. I didn't have a lot of extra money laying around to replace it in case I screwed something up. However, after reading through all of the posts about your ROMs I bit the bullet and am thrilled I did. So, just wanted to add my thanks to everybody else for all the hard work you have put into helping others with their phones.

Well, my hiatus was from burnout. I just got the Tour within the last day or so.

I knew this day would come eventually, just not so soon! They wont appreciate you like we do Adrynalyn!!! I know you say you'll stick around but it's natural that little by little you will lose interest since it's not your baby anymore lol.
Seriously though, as long as you're happy that is all that matters. Im starting to get bored too and looking for a new phone, not because there is anything with the Omnia, that is just the way I am. Im probably going to be moving on to bigger and better things soon too. |

I am actually thinking of downgrading back to a non-smartphone so I can save the extra money every month as I am getting an apartment.

He did mention that he doesn't like virtual keyboards, and since the Omnia 2 has a virtual keyboard = no dice.
I also want to say thanks for all of your hard work, my phone is now leaps and bounds better than when I first took it out of the box thanks to your ROMs. |
