Best way to Initialize GPS??

Been GPS-in a bit lately. Got AMAZE workin...sorta.
It takes Google Maps "initializing" the GPS before AMAZE will do its thing...then its fine.

Any ideas on a "button"

that initializes the GPS

Try this http://www.baf.cc/gpstoggle. It's working good so far.

Huh...I'm runnin 6.5 w/ a Titanium interface. After install I can't find it to run it (the file in the Windows dir won't run, nuthin in the Start menu)
How'd u get it going (usin M2D?)

That's the kicker: GPS Toggle does not work with titanium. GPS Toggle is a today screen plug-in that you enable in Settings -> System -> Today, but you have to turn titanium off first

I'm running Adryn's 6.5 rom but with SPB mobile shell 3.

Isn't SPB Mobile Shell 3 a bought/paid for interface?
Once GPS is initialized I'm golden.....to get it there I have to swing dead chickens whilst chanting cajun folksongs (naked)....
I usually fire up Google maps & let it simmer till it gets the sats. Leave it runnin & start my other stuff....
GOTTA be a better way.

I like the way you fire up your GPS . . . sounds like fun, especially swinging the dead chickens. If you got rid of that, it wouldn't be fun any more.

Yes, SPB MS3 is a paid app. I've been using it since WM6.1 so when I upgraded to WM6.5 I decided to keep using it.

I was wondering the same thing (about the GPS, not the chickens) with amAze -- Apparently it thinks Philadelphia = Newark, NJ.

There is no "Use GPS" menu setting in AMAZE?

well some of us on the Jersey Shore can't really see much of a difference either
