Opera 9.7 beta not displaying properly.

I installed opera 9.7 beta. It installed fine and seems to run as it should but it only displays in the upper left quarter of the screen. It does this in both portrait and landscape. I can see what should be in the bottom right quarter of the screen including the buttons in correct size but it shows in the top left and the rest of the screen is white. Any ideas?

It sucks anyway, stick with 9.5 or Opera Mini for quick browsing.

I honestly like the release version of Skyfire most still.. lol plays my Mafia Wars perfectly and is really a lot faster now. -- But Opera is probably bugged on our Omnia resolution

Re: Opera 9.7 beta not displaying properly.

Works fine for me, it's a bit rough around the edges but much faster overall (especially with Turbo on). I downloaded it straight from the opera blog post.

Re: Opera 9.7 beta not displaying properly.

I did download it from the blog post also. I have the latest skyfire and iris browsers installed also and I much prefer opera to those two.
While I expect it to be a bit buggy at this point I just can't figure what would cause this problem when others have it working. Oh well, not the end of the world. Thanks for the input and if anyone has any further ideas I'd like to here them.

Re: Opera 9.7 beta not displaying properly.

Do you mean that you are totally zoomed in on the page so that it only shows in teeny little text in the upper left of the screen? And if you double tap on the text it zooms in?

If not maybe you could post a screen shot?

Overall, you might try the Opera 9.7 thread in the Software forum here at PPCGeeks. It's up to like 23 pages of helpful information since Monday's release.

Re: Opera 9.7 beta not displaying properly.

If I can figure out how to post a screen shot I will. Thanks for the tip on the 9.7 thread. I should have thought of that.

Re: Opera 9.7 beta not displaying properly.

I decided to try Opera 9.7 today...but I'm having this problem with it only showing up in the upper left corner of the screen....anyone else having this issue...found a fix yet?

should I install on the device memory?

I read the entire thread in the software forum but nothing about this problem...and everyone there uses the Touch Pro or diamond...any help would be great...

Re: Opera 9.7 beta not displaying properly.

I love Opera with turbo turned on MUCH more than skyfire. For me, there's much faster rate of loading the pages and great on battery. Yeah, it might be a tish rough around edges, but it works great...

If you have it installed to storage and are having the problem... then try installing it on the device. I've always had it on device and have had no problems.
