Flashing Questions...

I'm still inexperienced with flashing (only done it once), so bear with me...

I recently flashed to one of Adrynalyn's 6.1 ROMS but have run into a few issues as of late. So, I am wanting to reflash to a newer ROM. But, since flashing I have installed a few programs that I would like to keep, and a lot of settings as well. I am currently on a CC20 ROM (I assume). Here are my questions...

1. How do I tell what ROM I am on? In the About screen it says CE OS 5.2.21051 (Build 21051.1.6.4). Does that mean I am on version 1.6.4 of Adrynalyn's ROM? I'm not sure how to read this screen.
2. What is the difference between CC20 ROMS and the CF03 ones? Can I restore a backup from a CC20 ROM to a CF03 one?
3. If I reflash to a 6.1 ROM, can I use a backup program so I can keep programs and settings?
4. If I flash to a 6.5 ROM, same question as #3; can I restore a backup on an essentially new operating system? I doubt my programs would work, but thought I would check.

This flashing world is odd to me. Thanks for any help you guys can provide!
