Volume control in SPB3

The last couple of days I've noticed that my phone hasn't been ringing. After looking at various possilities, I realized what the problem was. I use SPB Mobile Shell 3, and frequently switch between "Normal" sound and "Silent" sound. Before updating to CF03, that worked fine. Now, however, whenever I switch to silent, my normal sound profile is changed so that the ringer volume is turned off (although the system sounds volume stays at the level I set it at). Thus, when I change it back to normal, I have no ringer (but do have system sounds). Sorry if that doesn't make a lot of sense. Now, since updating, I also installed the Mobile Shell Themes from Imarche and enabled Today 2 (I don't think there were any other new programs from before CF03). It's entirely possible that they are the culprit. However, I don't really want to remove them just yet. So, I thought I'd see if anybody here uses SPB3 and has the same problem, or if anybody has any other thoughts on what I can do about this.

Thanks for any help.

Re: Volume control in SPB3

What I said previously made no sense......

Read the edit below.

EDIT : After playing around a little bit I found that what I had previously typed didn't fix it, but I think I figured it out.

Set your SPB profile to silent. Check your Windows/Samsung ringer settings, make sure the dial on both is turned down to zero.

Now, turn your profile onto normal in SPB. Click on your Windows/Samsung ringer settings again, turn both dials up to 5 and press okay. This fixed the problem for me.

Dunno if that helps you or not.
Yeah, that's how I found the problem. I click on ENP and set the ringer to high. I then go to silent and back to normal. If I click on ENP again, my ringer is off. Whenever I switch between the profiles my normal profile is changed.

Re: Volume control in SPB3

The above fix is correct:

1) Change SPB to 'Silent'
2) Change it back to 'Normal'
3) Go into the ringer settings and set the 'Bell Volume' to high

From here on out, it should work. Although this is a necessary step to complete after each flash.

SPB's software doesn't like the Omnia's sound drivers and users on SPB's forum have complained of multiple sounds issues when using Mobile Shell and Phone Suite. They are aware of the problem, but have no idea on an ETA for a fix

I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Thanks for letting me know that I'll have to do this after each flash.
