Re: Please help me with one thing
They will never make a 6.5 rom, get that out of your head now. As for your dilema...
Check in the windows folder for a menu.exe or smenu or tmenu...something menu... execute it and see if it is the menu you DONT want to open... Once you find the right EXE , google vjbrisk i think the name is and follow the directions on replacing the menu exe you dont like with a shortcut to the one you do. Someone else may have a better answer, but thats the best i have to offer for now. one last note... Ive owned an HTC 6800, then a 6850, and now an omnia... NOT ONE was even 1/4 the phone stock. windows 6.1 or 6.5, break the fear and flash the thing |

Re: Please help me with one thing
I agree, just flash to a 6.5 rom, VZ will NEVER release a 6.5 ROM for our phone. We were lucky to get the CF03 officially. If you do brick it, just tell them that you were updating to the new rom.

Re: Please help me with one thing
Another vote to flash - I didn't want to at first, but after I did I'm not looking back! Custom ROMs are better in literally every way, updated more frequently and you can talk directly to the person making it. Plus it's really not dangerous at all as long as your computer doesn't crash or cable pops out of the PC or phone.
ps- there was a thread here about somebody purposely trying to brick their omnia and failing miserably. Maybe that will instill some confidence in the brick-proofness of the phone! |

Re: Please help me with one thing
this isnt really exactly what your looking for but u can use the home icon in today 2 to open launcher and use a program like keyswop to reprogram the right soft key to open the windows program menu. http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-keyswop.html
1. Install KeySwop 2. Open File Explorer 3. Navigate to the Windows folder, click menu goto view options and click Show All Files 4. Scroll down to SamsungPrograms.exe press down on it until the context menu shows and click Copy 5. Navigate to My Documents, hold down to bring up the context menu and select Paste Shortcut 6. Press Down on Shortcut to SamsungPrograms to bring up the context menu and click property 7. In the 2nd box after "\Windows\SamsungPrograms.exe" add \Windows\Start Menu\Programs 8. Open KeySwop, click browse on the softkey you want to change 9. Goto the My Documents folder and select the shortcut you created 10. Change the label box to whatever you would like your softkey to say (ex. Programs) 11. Click Apply Last edited by Skyline987; 08-02-2009 at 04:07 PM. Reason: fixed link, added instructions |
