Re: How do you turn off word competion off?
On the near bottom-left there is a thing that says "xt9" - change it to "abc", and leave it that way.

Yes. Try FingerKeyboard 2. It's free and I love it more than my family
![]() K, not really, but it's by far the best keyboard I've ever used. See the post below for instructions on how to install some incredibly easy, finger-friendly skins: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...04&postcount=4 |

Re: How do you turn off word competion off?
I don't know - I'm probably in the minority here, but here goes...
I _hated_ the default XT9 at first, but I took the time to realize what it's doing and now I love it. I honestly like it better than Finger Keyboard - only because FKB doesn't have XT9. I like it because it will correct mis-hit keys. Once you learn how to "read" what it's doing, it's very useful. The times that it's not useful are when entering URLs or email addresses - and at that point I just turn off XT9. I can fly right through hitting s when I meant to hit a because I know that it will be corrected. The thing to remember if it starts suggesting words you don't want is that whatever you entered is always available by scrolling left in the word list. |
