6.5 Start Menu

Ok im trying 6.5 and run into a major issue. The new start menu is nice, if i can customize it. I cant seem to figure out how to do that though, anyone got a solution?

If you want to move the icons up and down just click and hold the icon till it says move up

You can also try reStart by Showaco.

Yeah, but if i organize items into folders, then try move up, it moves it out of the folder and to the top.

If i cant organize the start menu better than this, is there a way to go back to the original? I had it with Large Display options, but that stopped working and now the setting wont even open.

What exactly do you mean?

i havent really used the stock start menu much as i use the rhodium manila, but what do mean by moving them out of the folder?

Put a folder in your programs folder, move links to it, then open start menu and youll see... and THANK YOU Blaze, thats exactly what i need i think.

In 6.5, the icons just go in the programs folder, thats why they do that, I just wonder if there is a way to get it back to the old style start menu without affecting anything else, the start menu is the only thing I dont like about 6.5, but with Rhodium, its not an issue, good to see you found exactly what you need.

in settings there is a control panel called "Large Display" that switches it to old school start menu. So its possible for sure. Thing is though, when i did it last time, something conflicted with it i think then the "Large Display" control panel was no longer able to open.

Are you talking about in the restart program?

+1 for reStart, amazing. I was having such an issue moving one program to the top, it was like a puzzle.
