No, that one should work. It won't hurt to try downloading again though.

flash_adr_4_0_1_vanilla.7z is the one im trying out now. so far I like it. Did not like the M2D version. 6.5 is already alot different for 6.1 to have to learn new theme too. 1 thing at a time here. Later I may try M2D again.

Re: Cooked ROMS

BW, first and foremost thank you for all of your hard work. I have been using ROMs by Wozzer, and stuck with them so far, because he was my first...

The build I am running his version (I believe latest) M2D version... CE OS 5.2.21725 (Build 21725.5.0.20)

I don't know if I can expect an answer direct from the legendary "Wolfman" or ROMS himself, but I have grown so confused and frustrated, I though I would give it a shot.

I am having many, many frustrations. My phone frequently locks up where I cannot turn it back on from standby. I have to take the battery out and put it back in before I can turn it back on. Is this normal with a cooked build? I run SBPMobile 3 on it, as I paid for it and love it... is that the root of my problem? I have tried removing it, and I seem to have the same issue. In addition, the screen rotation frequently goes nuts. I also have problems with the unit lagging terribly at times when I am trying to open applications. Sometimes I have to tap the screen 3 times before it will launch... and not in the same area of the screen, so I assume it isn't the screen.

Finally, the "surprise, your battery is dead again" is another huge hassle. I have three batteries, and seem to be recharging or swapping batteries twice a day (bluetooth on, wifi off).

Any advise? Sorry for going on and on... here is a summary of my questions...
#1 Should I abandon SBP Mobile Shell 3?
#2 Is it safe to burn one of your ROMS directly over the ROM I have now, or do I have to go back to a newer version?
#3 Does everyone have trouble with the touchpad, or is just me? It seems after I align the screen it is fine for a while, but then drifts left or right in a matter of hours or days.

Once again, thank you for all you do...

The Captain...

Wow, what a post. :)

First, thank you for the kind words.

Now to your issues.

No lockups are not normal. Most times they are caused by a program that does not function correctly. The hard part is figuring out which one is causing the problem. It usually intails removing programs and ten running for awhile to see if it now works. If it freezes again you try another program, etc.

All of the other problems you mention can be caused by programs also. So if you want to stay with the ROM you currently have then you will need to start playing.

1. No, keep MS3 if you like it. It should work on any of the 6.5 ROMs. If it doesn't then you should choose a new ROM.

2. Yes, it is safe. Nice thing about our devices and this ability as you can try multiple ROMs to find one you like.

3. No, usually the touchscreen behaves. I think this will go away once you flash to a different ROM or find the program or programs that are causing your issues.

Just so you know. I have recently released an MS3 version of my ROM. Its basic right now but I will be doing some more work on it. :D

I cooked it in to a ROM. You just need an OEM that works. Not easy to make this one so it takes awhile before one can be made.

I have a 6.1 ROM with MS3 also. :)

Re: Cooked ROMS

You certainly deserve the praise... I would have run my 910 over with the car if it has not been for people like you, A, and W... Never tried A's stuff, way too many followers and WAY too much to read. I was almost relieved when Wozzer went AWOL, I NEEDED the break from reading the flurry of posts. The one thing I would love to see more of are images of the today and programs screens for people's builds... I can't believe people use them and don't post images of them... I know for the cooker, it would be a total pain... but I guess the images would just get lost in the follow-on posts.

Like a bonehead, I didn't recognize the "MS3" in your list of images](*,)

It is downloading now! I am dying to cook the bugs out of this baby!

By the way, is anyone else getting their nuts twisted up about the Omnia2? I have had my 910 since November, and it is just killing me they are releasing a non-TFT (OLED)update so soon! Of course, they now have the 480x600 screen and A STANDARD AUDIO JACK!:protest: Not to mention double the RAM and front and back cameras! (Ok, that was a bit of a stretch, huh?)

Here is a link to the comparison of the 910 and 920:
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=pdacomp...=1972&id2=1445

Ok, I guess I am WAY off topic... besides, until the "holy trinity" of ROM cookers got us a usable image, I am sure I would want to burn that one too... no matter how fancy pants it is! (plus they didn't up the back camera to 8mp... losers:disgust:) (Did I mention you no longer have to have the dorky dongle for your headphones?) ((response: "use your bluetooth, you are supposed to be a geek, remember? Headphones are for paper salesmen and porn stars!))

Thanks again!
