Cnet Podcast Playback Problem

Hi all,

I recently got an unlocked GSM Samsung Omnia. The inbuilt podacst utility in Omnia is great but it does not play CNET video podcasts. It starts playing the downloaded .m4v video file and freezes after a second or two. Is there a solution for this?

Thanks,
ramzee

Re: Cnet Podcast Playback Problem

After I saw this, I tried it out and I have a different problem. No matter what podcast I try to play, it says I dont have enough memory. I changed the options so that it uses My Storage, and My Storage card, which both have at least 3 gigs of memory, and still get the same message. I tried it with both the Cnet podcasts and some of the ones that came on the phone, and I get the same crap. Sorry I cant be of more help, I would like mine to work too, I didnt want to hijack your thread though. Perhaps someone can help both of us...

Edit: Ok, I was wrong. The podcasts that I was trying to download from Cnet are 4.something gigs big! What???? I can put five great quality movies on my phone for that much space! Why are they so big?

I noticed it too... they are obviously not 4 gigs. Is it interpreting the feed url incorrectly?

Re: Cnet Podcast Playback Problem

OK, this is weird. I went into Resco File Explorer and deleted all the contents of all the Podcast folders I found (I guess when you choose a new location to store the podcasts, it creates a folder there). When I went back into the Podcast program, all the channels that had been in there to begin with were gone. I did a search for cnet, and this time I was able to download and play a video podcast from Cnet, specifically one of the fights, the one between the LG Dare and the LG Versa. Try that one and see if it works for you?
