Re: SMS alerts and Battery Life
Curious, I can't say I have had the same issue yet. Do you have any third party message s/w set up on your device?

None, completely stock. I set a tone that came w/ it and no issues. Seems like it's something w/ the ones I d/led

Re: SMS alerts and Battery Life
It may have something to do with where you put your downloaded ring tones, are they in the main memory and if so, where? I edit my mp3 ring tones to about 10 seconds then put them in My Device/My Documents/My Ringtones.

Re: SMS alerts and Battery Life
It's something that just kinda started happening after about a week, I will move them to the main memory, but it's so limited I try to have it on the built in card. Great phone, memory was a bad design on thier part though.

Re: SMS alerts and Battery Life
Rogue: agree more memory is something all WM devices could use more of, in my opinion there is never enough. I did see another post elsewhere that mentioned putting ringtones on the memory card will work but they can not be in a folder and need to be in the root of the card, try that first...save on-board memory. I didn't get a chance to try this method but will tonight when I get back home, let us know if you try it out.

Re: SMS alerts and Battery Life
I've tried both and neither worked. Lasted about an hour then hit an miss. Tried removing varous programs and freeing up memory w/ no luck, but the default tones work 100%. They all come from www.m.zedge.com and are in MP3 format. Dunno what the problem would be as other people use them fine.

Re: SMS alerts and Battery Life
I can't imagine why this would make any difference but looking for a common link, have you tried an MP3 file not from zedge.com?
