Cannot get hotmail on my Omnia again?

Good Evening,

I am wishing I did not have this phone right about now. Earlier today, the memory on my phone was full and I have installed next to nothing on the phone quite yet. I deleted some pictures and some word documents and moved somethings over to the internal memory and that only freed up around 3mb. At the same time, my phone stopped syncing with my hotmail and would not let me send any text messages so I thought a hard reset would be in order. I only reset the regular memory on phone which did free up a lot of space but now I cannot remember how I installed hotmail before on my i910 and I have been online for hours trying the numerous different ways that are out there to get hotmail back on my phone. I do not remember it being this hard this first time around and I was looking for any help possible. My phone is basically set to out of the box status and I have no programs installed on it whatsoever.

Any help would be appreciated. I admit I am noob when it comes to this phone. Thank you in advance.

Try this.....Open ur messaging click setup new email, there u should see the E-Mail setup window

put in ur Hotmail address and password

it should then try to connect to the internet to download windows live and from there take u through the rest of the set up...

I have tried that and it takes me to the windows live website and has access my hotmail through the internet. The way I had it set up on my phone before was that when I opened my messaging, I could access my hotmail account without going through Opera or the IE. It acted the same way as my text messaging in that when I received an email, it would give me an alert and I could read, write and manage all my email folders through the messaging icon on my phone. I cannot seem to set that up again. Any suggestions?

Thanks for leading me to that post. That still wasn't the way I had it set up before but that is a solution. I think I went through Active Sync last time but I cannot find the instruction on how to set it up again. I was able to manage my online folders and move email into different folders just like hotmail. Man, I cannot remember where I found the information to set it up like that again. Thanks for the help and I will definately have to download a few apps, especially a good back up app among other things. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

it happened to me before. here is what i did.
1. set up hotmail from new message account
2. logon to windows live with yr email acct and pwd
3. soft reset

Open the messaging options...click on hotmail and set your sync options. I will sync with the hotmail service and send them to your phone..

yes thats what I have...u have to finish the set up and after that when u click messaging it shows all ur options

text messages - MMS - Yahoo - Hotmail....or whatever other email u have...

I'm gonna drop a few screen shots and tell me if what ur seeing is different...

once u finish the setup thru windows live on the web on ur phone close out the web browsers and u should be able to access hotmail thru ur phone as before...
