You can set up multiple email accounts on the phone.

Use your regular domain for regular email (checking every 15 min).

Use Hotmail (Windows Live) for your "chats" with your GF. (using the push feature of the Windows Live for Mobile app)


I have a similar setup. Only I don't use Hotmail for chats. I use Hotmail as my "disposable" email address. That is the one I give companies and people I don't know personally. The other "paid" IMAP account is for personal friends and Family (People I know will not sell the address to spammers).

Hotmail actually has a pretty good spam filter. After using the same hotmail address very generously for about 10 years, I get about 100 spam messages per day, but they all end up in the JUNK folder (which doesn't make it onto my phone). I only see the valid ones in my inbox.

well, actually i found a free push email called seven (seven.com) and its working god thus far, i'll let you know what i can in a week or so of use.
