Resized for the Omnia, with some cleaned up graphics. Theme is on their site.

Re: PocketShield Release Candidate 2.6

I'v been using a beta release for a few days, and it's been a nice program, it's nice to to see a full rollout. One thing, is it just me, or is the month/date backwards in the 2.6 release?

Re: PocketShield Release Candidate 2.6

Hey there,

Just a couple of questions about this app.

1. I see that I need the .net 3.5 installed to get this to work. It appears that it will use 6+ megs on the main memory. Is this true? Can it be installed to the storage?
2. My phone wakes up after the bluetooth in my car disconnects. This is when I have most of my "butt-dial" incidents. Probably obvious but, will this app come on when my phone wakes up?

TIA

Re: PocketShield Release Candidate 2.6

So long as you dont have light unlock enabled, I would think that yes, it would solve your (LMAO!) butt-dial incidents Or, if you are keeping it in a dark place, light unlock would still protect as well.

As for .net--needs to be Main memory AFAIK, and yes, it takes that much, but it is a needed thing for many apps.

Thanks for the prompt reply!

Could you please elaborate on the light lock? I don't quite understand. Also, what other applications require 3.5?

Re: PocketShield Release Candidate 2.6

I don't have a list handy, but a lot. Once we get a custom ROM going, we will be able to cook the latest version into the ROM, and therefore save space.

As for light unlock--its better for me to link a video.

Re: PocketShield Release Candidate 2.6

OK, so I'm giving this app a try. If I don't like it, can I uninstall .net 3.5?

Also, I can't seem to get any theme to display properly. I have tried the "space" and "earth" theme from their site.

The time looks like Klingon digits. Any ideas?

BTW, I installed the CAB files, if that helps.

Thanks again.
