Re: Shutting off at random?

I have seen many conversations about the power saving settings. I do not have this option enabled, so perhaps this is why I have not seen the issue. S2U2 has been known to cause issues such as this one though I understand that the last version, 2.04 I believe, is much better on our devices. Which I believe proves my point about 3rd party software.

Re: Shutting off at random?
I havent had this problem until i updated to Adryns 3.0 rom except for today oddly enough it happened twice. Both times i restarted the phone using the soft reset button and when it turned back on my wi-fi was on and it wouldnt turn off until i soft reset again. After the second time i took the phone out of my pocket and let it sit for a while and it was fine leading me to believe it was heat related.

Re: Shutting off at random?
FWIW, I had the standard (updated) ROM from Verizon. Problem kept getting worse so I just took it back to Verizon for a replacement phone. Spent yesterday afternoon trying (and failing) to get the official new ROM to download. I think I saved a copy at my office from the last time, though. So I'll be spending the morning setting up my phone instead of being more productive.

Re: Shutting off at random?
I have had my i910 for 1 week and it has done this 3 times already, I have also notice that the battery gets extremely HOT not all the time just once in awhile.

Re: Shutting off at random?
I had this problem with my Omnia to the point I had to reset up to 5 times a day. Verizon sent me a replacement and that phone had the same problem right out of the box. The third phone works as designed as has not been a problem.

Re: Shutting off at random?
FWIW, the replacement phone I got has been okay except when I had both SPB Mobile Shell installed along with S2U2. Played with it some more last week and removed the "lock on blank screen" option. So far, no lockups (knocking on wood).
