contact auto suggest

I saw mention of this in another thread (that I now can't find)

when entering a name in the "to" field when creating a text message, my old phone (xv6700 with Helmi's winmo 6.1) would auto suggest matches from my address book as I typed, on my omnia, it doesn't

any help with this?

searching turned up no results, but I may not have hit on the right keyword to find what I was looking for.

I used to get suggestions on my HTC XV6700 and my Samsung i700. I don't understand why they don't appear on the Omnia. I'm with you.....help?

When you press Send it will give you suggestions.

I prefer the auto suggest when I am entering the name...

Well, it works for me, so I don't know what to tell you.

The only time it doesn't work, if I hit send, it suggests then.

When I press <Enter> in the "To:" field, it brings up the Select a Contact window. In that window it does auto suggest. Not the same, but a small help, perhaps...

I noticed when sending a new MMS message the auto suggest works, but new sms, new email it does not....so I know the Omnia is capable of doing it, just need someone to figure out how to enable it for sms

My auto suggest works for SMS. I know this, because I rarely send MMS
