Re: SMS Chat App?
PocketCM is hard coded to install on main device, and considering the function, I am not sure it should be moved like some do with S2U2.
Corey_Smith...I use that theme as well, and yes it is high in process and memory usage, and the author both knows and promises to try to work on it for the next version. As far as the 'scratching' your seeing shile using the theme, you have to go into settings and about half-way down (maybe not that far) you have to check the box for wide-screen. Right now the theme is working like it is on a QVGA device, when you check wide screen, it will start working and looking like it is on a WQVGA device. I use this theme, and it is slow to load, but once it gets going, it looks and acts very nice. A couple things I really want to do is to have the SMS thread alternate sided like in the original version so it is easier to tell if it was in or out-going, and maybe changing the color of unread messages....they look almost identical to read ones in color. |

Re: SMS Chat App?
Glad you got it going!! I actually just managed to change my unread SMS text color. My unread messages are now in red. I'm making a couple other tweaks now, I'll let you know how it goes, and if you like, how to do it!!

Re: SMS Chat App?
I changed the colors of the in, out and new messages and I changes the background. For some reason I can't get the icons next to all the messages to change yet. The funny thing is that the icons next to them don't exist in the theme file anymore, the new ones I made do. I will try to tell you how I changed the color in my next post, I am being kicked out of my computer room by a gang of rabid teenage girls trying to watch Twilight (that I waited at the mall until 1AM for last night)!!!!

Re: SMS Chat App?
That color scheme makes it so much easier to see the messages. default gray on black is somewhat difficult. LOL
Looking forward to the color changes. I think what you have going is perfect. |

Re: SMS Chat App?
OK....I'll try to talk you through what I did:
IMAGE 1: If you open the settings.ini file and scroll down just a bit you see where the custom settings are, and the colors and fonts are just a little bit down. You add whatever color codes you like using the format: $'name your color'$='image code' You can find HTML image code charts in many sites like this one: http://htmlcolorcodes.org/ IMAGE 2: You can see here where I changed the colors by simply changing the $____$ names in the circles. I also tweaked the fonts just a bit. I think I just made the read (in and outgoing) 10p and left the unread at 12p to further differentiate them. Is that a good description, or do you need any more info? I know it gets confusing, but if you need any gaps in the description filled in, please feel free to ask!!! |

Re: SMS Chat App?
Looks OK. I'll give it a try later and let you know!
Is the settings.ini file in the PocketCm folder? I see a file called usersetting. Thanks Last edited by Corey_Smith; 03-23-2009 at 05:58 PM. Reason: Added a question. |

Re: SMS Chat App?
No, you want the one in the Dark Diamond zipped file. You need to extract it on your PC, add the settings.ini file back in the zipped file and save that back to the PocketCM Program folder (did that make sense at all?). It is a large folder, you need to scroll past the QVGA images, and it is right before the VGA images.
