Re: Verizon forcing data plan on Omnia

Unlimited means just that.

If you tether and they catch you though....prepare for some trouble.

Re: Verizon forcing data plan on Omnia

Well working for verizon, att and sprint, i have not heard of any new fancy partial data plans coming out for any of them. I can let you guys know if i find anything out, if i find it out it will be at most a week before when you get the info publicly but hey its worth a shot. Oh by the way skype works on this phone as well so you can have unlimted minutes already. Also, about the tethering, if you do it few and far between and still use the crud outta your data plan, i dont think its easy for them to catch is it?

Re: Verizon forcing data plan on Omnia

I just found this out with the Touch Pro. My situation is complicated. I want for the PDA & GPS functions so I don't have to carry multiple devices. Yes the data plan would be nice but my work will not pay for it because I have a wireless card for my laptop. I was just going to buy the phone & have my work port it over to the company account. I guess I'll be stuck with the crap phone work provided & my Tilt.

I would have the need to use all that much data anyway. Occasionally using live search & weather updates would be about it. I would probably only use less than 5M a month.

They can kiss butt know as I will leave my two personal line at AT&T. I don't see how they can do this in the first place.
