Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

I just got my Omnia a little over a month ago, the problem I have been having is when you set up your mail groups, you can't get out of it without doing a soft reset. You can hit the buttons on the bottom and you will get out but when you go back into your text messaging it takes you right back to the screen that you were in. Any suggestions??

That's just not right. Take it back to a store for a checkup.

Yeah, that's a problem I've never run across. Take it back or call CS.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

I have taken it back, they sent me another phone and it has the same problems, I took that one back and they are going to replace that phone also. Hopefully this next phone won't have the same problems....

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

The good news for you is that the replacement devices reportedly have better screen sensitivity than the ones most of us got in the store.

Wirelessly posted (Omnia i910: Opera/9.80 (Windows Mobile; WCE; Opera Mobi/WMD-50286; U; en) Presto/2.4.13 Version/10.00)

Mine has way better screen sensitivity than the one I got in March. I recommend everyone call and complain that the screen is barely recognising taps.

Angry Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Anyone else out there having problems setting up their mail groups on their onmia?? I am on my 5th one and everytime I try to set up my mail groups the phone locks up and won't let you out, everytime you try to get into your texting after that it goes straight back to the last screen you were setting up your mail groups, only way you can stop it from doing that is if you restart your phone. I have gotten 5 of them so far and all 5 phones screw up there....

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Just kind of a wild guess, but I wonder if the flash file that they have is corrupted? Have you tried re-flashing the official CF03 ROM? Reflashing that won't raise flags if you have to take it back again.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

curious if anyone else has this issue?
it seems just about everytime i get multiple txts at/or close to same time (happens other times too sometimes), when i try to respond the keypad doesn't work (just trying to type letters) but all other touch/virtual buttons work.

if i 'X' it back to main screen (today 2) and use the htc x thing to close active sync (bastard always seems to show up no matter what) then go back into txt messages, everything works fine (until next time)

only seems to effect sms....
anyone have similar/same issue? any thoughts how to remedy it? need more info?

at this point i think that is the last bug i can't figure out for my current set up.

thanks in advance
