Thanks for responding. I changed it out of conversation mode for now. I love conversation mode, but that was annoying. I'll stick with this and hopefully things get fixed later on. No big deal.

I had changed the sensitivity before but I just took it up another notch. It works ok. Can't honestly complain too much. I'll wait for an official rom or an updated rom with some fixes.

Thanks for the ideas!

You're welcome. I try to help anytime I can. Unfortunately it's not that often. Most of the guys here are way above me. As for the thanks, there is a Thanks button. (An unabashed solicitation. :laughing6:)

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

hi everyone

im new to this forum and have had my phone for just over a week now. im loving the phone but would like to know how to add birthday reminders to my phone. iv tried using the calender but that doesnt work. is there any free software i can use that does this effectively? Not trial stuff?

also, ive added the teeter game to my phone and also the teeter editor 1.4. I wanted to know how to add the new levels to my existing game and will it actually work on my phone? Isnt there suppose to be a drag n drop function on the ppc version of the editor? And apparently there are 18 new levels for the game... where can i get them and how do i add them and make them work on my phone?

I am in South Africa and would like to flash a new rom... if anyone knows... we have the JCHH1 Rom at the moment and the new one JCHJ3 is available. Does anyone know what the new rom fixes or changes or adds. i want to be able to make a decision as to whether to do the flash before i actually do it.

last thing... does anyone have any useful FREE apps that i can add to my phone to optomise it? I cannot use rapidshare! it never allows me to download anything!!!

Thanx everyone! This is a great forum!!!

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Okay I think I got a serious problem here. I hope some one would read this thing and help me out restore the firmware on my device. I bought omnia i900 last year (Aug 2008) on ebay. I was residing in Canada and I believe it would have come through from Hongkong or Singapore. The Omnia version was i900DXHG3.

Now I read through the article posted at

http://www.pspmyspace.com/omnia/omni...are-guide.html

and have downloaded ActiveSync 4.5 (backed up my info) and also Samsung modem driver. After installing these two I downloaded the 4 parts for DXIA5. I win mount the first part and follow the first 5 steps posted here:

http://www.pspmyspace.com/omnia/firmware/

Now once the Eboot image was captured the device rebooted and the updater tried to capture the Eboot image one more time when I got the following error on my XP computer:

http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/i...omniaerror.jpg

My device is currently in the following state:

It would be just great if some one could tell me how to restore the phone in its origional state or if I am doing something wrong. Somebody out there please take the pain to explain me here because I have never done upgrading with a WinMO device. Thought it would be as simple as the iphone upgrade..

No programs listed in storage memory

I haven't been able to find any posts relevant to this. I've installed Adrynalyne's 1.3 rom. Even though I've installed a ton of programs -- I'm down to only (!) about 95 megs free -- there are NO programs listed in "Programs in storage memory" under "Remove Programs".

Any programs that I install now show up, but none of the earlier installations do.

Anybody else seen this?

UPDATE: I've found a few other users that experienced this problem, but no solution. Best guess is that a bad registry edit messed up the programs list. I did a hard reset and the problem has not recurred.

Laverne - Are you running the leaked ROM yet?

royals ice - MoDaCo would be your best best. Majority here is i910, majority there is i900. They'd be able to help you much more.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Ok, here's my problem. I flashed my Omnia to Cricket (dont worry, I know what I'm doing, lol) and the only issue I can't get past is that it sucks for picking up EVDO signal. If I change it to EVDO only in the **HYBRID menu, it goes to no signal within 20 seconds and doesn't come back. I do have an EVDO prl, and EVDO will work sometimes, but its very undependable. I've looked all over for a Radio ROM update and can't find anything.
I have talked to a few others who have flashed thier Omnia's to Cricket and they have the same problem.
Also I have noticed this on the Stock ROM, CC20 ROM, and it continues on Wozzer's 6.5 ROM (Lite).

Has anyone else had similar issues? Maybe found a fix? Thanks.

Maybe Cricket sucks?

j/k I had to. :p

No cooked rom will help you, as they only address pda portions. Being that they work fine with VZW, I'd say Cricket needs to address some issues there.

Are you in one of the tri-band service areas? Some markets (SETexas is one) require tri-band. Don't ask me why -- I've tried some casual searches but can't determine the reason.

I don't know if they're talking 800, 850 and 1900 MHZ or what.

Hey guys, I just got my i910 Omnia on Verizon. C220 firmware with the gps unlock was working, and I decided to flash Wozzer's custom ROM, and it said it was successful, and restarted my phone, but it freezes on the black Omnia boot screen. I've reflashed a few times, and this still happens. Does anyone have any ideas?

What is not working with the calendar for birthdays? I have no problem putting an "appointment" in mine with subject of "Birthday - <name>", and set it to recur annually with alarm 1 day before (or whatever lead time I think I might need ;-}
