"My guess is the i910 does its own thing that takes precedence over this application."

That is among the little changes Samsung made. I could have sworn I saw somewhere to set the battery level for the alarm to show, but I can't find it now. I think the best way around it is to track down the alarm-tone used for the low battery alert (I would guess in the same location as the 'charged' tones.) and do the same as the other fix....replace it with a silent tone (attatched earlier in this thread).

I wish I could give specifics, but I haven't had a low battery alert since the first couple days I have had my Omnia. Maybe someone else knows which tone it is!

I have a Batti application I installed, but the settings on that program do not seem to do anything. There is an advanced setting tab on there that makes it look like you can control the percentage at which you get notifications of battery low, battery critical, power off, etc. events. However, my phone does not seem to obey those when I change them. My guess is the i910 does its own thing that takes precedence over this application.

The little annoyances of this phone drive me crazy sometimes. :0

The notification hack only disables the warning level, which is at 40% or so. At 20%, its considered critical, and a separate notification altogether.

Now, only the Slider will answer your calls.

OK, I have a new issue with this. Since i have now set the phone to only wake when i hit the power button on the top, i am finding that i have to unlock the phone with the power buttin, then unlock the screen, then click end when i want to end the call.

All i really want to do is disable the abilitly to answer a call by hitting the "green" key as it is ringing, but not disable my ability to end a call by hitting the "red" key. Am i being too picky?

Hi, I am new to the forum and need help badly.

I have had my Omnia phone a couple of weeks now and all of a sudden it stopped ringing when I get a call. It still vibrates but won't ring. I have tried adjusting the volume, changing the ring type and tone but to no avail.

Please help me

Welcome to both tecksiangtea and Port1907!! Hope you get a lot out of this community!!!

Port1907...I know this may sound obvious, but do you get any sound at all, or is it ONLY the ringtone you don't hear? I would also wonder if you have any phone profile app installed like Phone Alarm or Phone Suite?

tecksiangtea...Have you done any tweaks to the Omnia? What apps did you install (especially any that could influence texting or keyboards)? There is also the capability of turning thies ability off in the settings....go into Settings...Personal....Input...on the bottom of the screen are three tabs. the middle one is Word Completion. Make sure the 'Suggest words when entering text' is checked.

syrguy1969,

It is only the ringtone that I don't hear. I hear everything else, keypad tones, game sounds, etc etc.

All that is on the phone is what comes as standard. I have not installed anything else knowingly

OK...port...bear with me hear, I know this all sounds obvious, but hit the volume key and make sure the phone volume is on and loud. Also, have you tried to hear the tone alone before (or after) assigning it as a ringtone? Did you hear calls before you assigned the tone you wanted?

ok,

Everything is up loud.

If I go to phone settings, I can click the play button and hear the ringtone.

I didn't change the ringtone, it just stopped ringing.

Re: Omnia problems and solutions thread!!!

Wow...that is unusual. I will think about it, but I am thinking if nobody else chimes in a call to CS may be in order. Usually a third-party app is the culprit in a situation like this, but that is obviously not the case here!!
