Re: (WM 6.5 native) Sliding unlock for Omnia II?
Yes, it is possible. I use it. It has been so long since I switched it over that I can't remember how, but will try to figure it out and post it if I can.

I remember this being quite hard to find, but I think this is it.
Go to "Settings", choose "Security Settings", choose "Password Lock", choose "Display" (it is a tab). Then select "Windows Default" instead of "Windows Classic". You will need to restart the device to get it changed over, but I believe that should do it. Hope that gets you what you need. Good luck. |

As I've found Omnia II's user interface not so appealing, is there anyway to disable all of Omnia II's interface? I've already switched off Samsung TouchWiz UI, but obviously it doesn't bring back all of WM's native interface (e.g., the lock screen). |

Re: (WM 6.5 native) Sliding unlock for Omnia II?
Yep, now that I think about it . . . I had to use a program to set the lock since Samsung so nicely won't let the lock button do anything but use the Samsung lock.
I am running SPB Mobile Shell, and I found that I could add a widget to a screen that would let me lock the phone and it would use the Windows lock, then after a while I programmed one of the buttons (the shield on the front) to use that same thing. You might want to try that and see if it will work for you. I am so sorry that I am not more helpful. |
