Help: Start icon stays white and won't regain color

When I first got my Omnia 2 (Bell Canada) I am positive - absolutely positive - that the small Windows icon in the upper left corner beside the "Start" menu was in color. Sometime shortly after installing SPB Mobile Shell (may be unrelated) I noticed that it has now changed to being all solid white, all the time, no matter what. I've uninstalled SPB, tried changing themes, rebooting, enabling/disabling Touchwiz etc, and nothing has worked. Does anyone have any idea what would be causing this to occur? I did no registry hacks or tweaks or anything else of that nature. It just suddenly started appearing all white all the time.
