defaults to 3g

i have wifi at work but I cant get my onlina 2 (verizon) to use it. it always uses 3g verizon network. I have tried disabling data but it always defaults back to 3g and turns data back on. How do i keep data off and use wifi available? I have searched but dont know how to word it. **defaults to 3g dont work**
